NAME: Mountain Spring COUNTY: White Pine ROADS: 4WD GRID: 1 CLIMATE: Hot summer, cool winter. BEST TIME TO VISIT: Anytime. |
COMMENTS: Interesting Scenery. |
Mountain Spring was primarily a horse-changing stop for the Pony Express for the last few months of the line’s existence. The Overland Stage Company then used the stop for a short while but abandoned it in 1869. Nothing remains today of the original station.
