San Pedro was another small, short-lived mining camp that was created during the Black Horse boom because of its accessibility to water. Since Black Horse had no running water, San Pedro became the focus of the Black Horse District when a mill was completed in the summer of 1911. The population consisted of only 15 mill workers and their families. The Black Horse boom died quickly and the mill closed down in the summer of 1912 and San Pedro soon emptied. Nothing remains at the site today.
