A Swedish Lutheran community near Austin, TX (possibly if I am reading Swedish right) named in 1877. Inhabited into the 1880's and 'till?. Known to Swedes as the "New Sweden Kolonien" it is described on page 371 of the 2 Volume book- "Swedes in Texas". I am currently having information translated from Swedish to write more... Betty Raetzsch-Schmidt- grandaughter of Oscar Waldemar Sandstrom, former bankruptcy attorney in Ausin, Texas and inhabitant of New Sweden. Submitted by: Betty Raetzsch-Schmidt
