GOLD SPRINGS

NAME: Gold springs
COUNTY: Iron
ROADS: 2WD
GRID: 7
CLIMATE: Snow in winter, mild in summer
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Spring to fall

COMMENTS: There are a couple of hunting lodges in the area but no permanent residentsBig Buck Mine and Little Buck Mine is incredible to explore!

UPDATE: The pictures on your site show a fantastic mill, which is no longer there.  It seems that a mining corporation has staked claims on this land and the Utah Division of Natural Resources demolished most of the buildings back in 2004. We were there today (October 12, 2007) and all we were able to see were the two cabins that have been "well used" in recent decades, and a whole lot of piles of old nail-riddled wood. REMAINS: Several cabins at the townsite and a very impressive mill at the mine site
