COMMENTS: No residents. On private property and town site now fenced in. Just two buildings remain--the old Gustin store building and an old livery building.
REMAINS: Two buildings and foundations otherwise, mill site 1/2 mile distant along Strawberry Creek.
Site on Strawberry Creek was site of a Pony Express Station in 1861. Town founded in mid-1870's--gold, silver, some copper ore found here. People lived here into the 1890's but the mines played out, though some would-be miner's remained in the hills nearby until the late 1970's. Main families were the Nickersons and Gustins.
